💌 Not Sure What to Write?
Starting a letter to someone you've never met can feel awkward. That's normal, and we built help into every member's page.
Where to find it
Open any member's page and look beside Send a Letter. You'll see two buttons:
- I Don't Know What to Write gives you one question to start your letter. Pick a category from the drop-down and tap Another question until one fits.
- Question Ideas gives you five questions to get to know that member better. Use them in any letter, not only your first.
Tap Add to my letter on any question to place it in your letter.

Incarcerated people do not have internet access. Your letter is delivered physically by mail, or through an approved electronic system where the facility allows it. Learn more on How Your Letter Gets There.
